Judas Priest / Nostradamus
今月来日するJudas Priestの新譜です。2枚組でコンセプトアルバムということもあり、イントロが長めで壮大(おおげさ？)な雰囲気の曲が多いです。少し飽きそうかな、と思っていたのですが、曲も前作Angel of Retributionの雰囲気を崩さず、聴き所がたくさんあるアルバムと感じました。

確かに疾走感あふれるスピードチューンは減っているかもしれませんが、リフやメロディを大事にした曲が並んでいて、かっこいいアルバムと思います。スピードチューンは減っているものの、決してだれることがないアルバムに仕上げているところが長年ヘヴィメタル界のトップを張り続けているバンドだなぁ、と思いました。
